Why You’ll Love Working Here

Snow Hill Dental Associates is a patient-first, ethics-driven private practice led by Dr. Ben Strahl, a thoughtful, clinically focused owner with high standards and a calm, low-drama leadership style. This is a practice where quality matters more than speed, integrity matters more than ego, and long-term relationships—both with patients and team members—are the foundation of success. If you’re looking for a place to do dentistry the right way, this practice was built for you.

You’ll be stepping into a stable, well-established practice with over 3,000 active patients and a strong community reputation. The team is experienced, respectful, and highly communicative, with long-tenured hygienists and leadership that values mutual trust. Systems are predictable, assistants are supportive, and the environment is intentionally designed to reduce chaos and burnout so you can focus on excellent patient care.

This role is best suited for dentists who enjoy practicing thoughtfully and value quality over speed. Dentists who prefer highly production-driven, fast-paced environments or who are looking for a short-term role may find this practice less aligned with their goals. Snow Hill Dental Associates is intentionally built for clinicians who appreciate ethical decision-making, clear communication, and a steady, long-term approach to patient care.

Mentorship here is real—not scripted or performative. Dr. Strahl maintains an open-door approach and is deeply invested in helping the right associate grow clinically and professionally. Whether you want guidance on implants, extractions, treatment planning, case acceptance, or the business side of dentistry, you’ll have access to thoughtful, judgment-based mentorship backed by years of real-world experience. The practice is also equipped with modern technology, including CBCT and Primescan scanners, as well as digital workflows, to support high-quality outcomes.

This role is built for longevity. The practice is already fee-for-service dominant, financially healthy, and positioned for continued growth. For the right associate, there is a clearly defined path to ownership—starting with a buy-in opportunity at 2–3 years and full ownership at 10 years. This opportunity is not for someone looking for a short-term role or a stepping stone.

Located in historic Snow Hill, Maryland, this community offers a slower pace of life with a significantly lower cost of living than major metro areas—without feeling isolated. Snow Hill is just 15 minutes from Ocean City and Salisbury, giving you easy access to beaches, dining, shopping, and entertainment while still enjoying small-town charm. You’ll be able to own a beautiful home, build real community ties, and maintain balance without sacrificing income or quality of care.

What We Value

  • Integrity – We believe excellent dentistry starts with honesty, transparency, and doing the right thing for patients at all times. Treatment recommendations are made based on clinical need, not production pressure. Accountability and ethical decision-making are expected and supported.

  • Quality Over Ego – Clinical standards matter more than speed, volume, or bravado. We value sound judgment, self-awareness, and knowing when to proceed versus when to refer. Pride comes from doing excellent work, not from cutting corners or proving a point.

  • Patient-First Care – Long-term trust with patients is more important than short-term wins. We prioritize clear communication, education, and thoughtful case presentation so patients feel confident in their care. Every decision is made with the patient’s best interest in mind.

  • Respect & Teamwork – A low-drama, respectful environment is intentional here. Doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members are treated as equals with shared goals. Collaboration and professionalism are non-negotiable.

  • Growth Mindset – Learning does not stop after dental school. We value dentists who are open to feedback, mentorship, and continuous improvement. Growth is measured by better outcomes, stronger judgment, and increased confidence over time.

  • Communicate treatment clearly
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled, supportive clinical team
  • Practice with autonomy while exercising sound judgment

Why This Job Stands Out

  • Fee-for-Service Dentistry
You won’t be rushed or forced into questionable treatment decisions. The practice is already ~70% fee-for-service with plans to move entirely out of insurance participation. This allows you to focus on quality and patient trust rather than volume.

  • Proven Mentorship Track Record
With a proven mentorship track record with previous associates, Dr. Strahl is committed to providing accessible, practical mentorship rooted in real support.

  • Strong Patient Demand
With over 3,000 active patients, you’ll step into immediate demand with meaningful production opportunities. This is not a “build-your-own-schedule” situation—you’ll be busy.

  • Ownership Path with Clarity
This isn’t vague “maybe someday” ownership talk. There is a clear, realistic path to buy-in and eventual ownership for the right long-term associate. Stability and alignment matter here.

  • Lifestyle Balance
This practice is built around sustainability, not burnout. A four-day workweek allows you to maintain energy, focus, and consistency in your clinical work. Snow Hill offers an affordable, close-knit community where you can build a meaningful life alongside a fulfilling career.
